Registering as an Employee

I helped my brother in law asked me to help him in registering at the SSS Online Inquiry system. He's an employee of a construction firm but he's doubting that the firm did not remit his contribution to the Social Security System.

He tried to ask help from the SSS employee in an SSS branch for him to see how's his contribution. However, he was told that he should access the SSS Online Inquiry for him to get the Static Information.

Now, the problem is he don't know the Employer SSS number of his company. Someone told us that instead of entering the SSS number of his employer, what we need to enter is the 10 zeroes. We tried it, but up to this time, we haven't received any email from the SSS Online Inquiry regarding the status of the registration, the password and the username.

We tried it twice but still we haven't receive email from the SSS website.

SSS SBR Number

One of the very reason why voluntary or self-employed SSS members who are trying to register at the SSS Online Inquiry system failed is because they entered the wrong SBR number.

I tried registering at the SSS Online Inquiry system for 20 times already. But at least, the finally I successfully registered with the Online Inquiry system of the SSS.

So, how did I get the SBR number?

Okay... I have the receipt in paying my SSS contribution. It's actually my copy of the RS-5 form. In the upper part of the form (on your right) is the validation printed by the machine of the agency where I paid my contribution. I was paying my contribution at the RCPI Maasin. And the validation print says:

SSS>T#00012345 12345678 11/03/09 03:20

The SBR number that should be used in the SSS website is only 6 digit. But the SBR number printed on my receipt has 8 digits which is 00012345. So, what you need to is just use the 6 digit starting from the last digit of the SBR number. From that example, I only use as the SBR number the 012345.

LTO Registered Na!

Sorry but this is not related to my membership with the SSS or Social Security System of the Philippines.

Just want to brag here that my new tricycle is already registered with the LTO. So, I will be afraid of using it since no one will apprehend me as long as I have no other violation. I just hate kasi to drive a unregistered vehicle.

Actually, last 2007, I was apprehended by the LTO Region 8 personnel for driving Toyota Innova without plate number and no registration. I paid PhP1,500 for the fine and my driver license was held by them for almost 2 weeks since I need to wait for the plate number and vehicle registration before I could settle the problem.

So, now that the tricyle is already registered then I can use it anywhere already.

First, I am planning to go to Tacloban City with my wife and son. My wife will claim her PRC License ID because it is required in applying for a vacant teaching position at DEPED here in our area.

And if you did not know yet, this tricycle is my investment using my money earned through my websites.

By the way, I am currently paying P520 as my SSS contribution every month. Often times I pay the SSS every first week of the month of the same month the contribution I paid is applicable. In other words, it was a month in advance.

I decided to do that to make sure that I couldn't miss even one month of contribution. For example, I forgot to pay for this month, I still have time to pay it next month.

By the way, the cab or sidecar that I ordered from Diao Shop in Bato, Leyte was finished already, and it's attached already to the motorcycle. Actually, we used it already last monday in going to Malitbog, Southern Leyte.

The cab is good and is aligned well. I was not mistaken to order it from the Diao shop.

Mourning on the Death of Cory Aquino

For sure, everyone of us, members of the SSS or Social Security System, mourns on the death of our former president Corazon Cory Aquino. She was considered as the mother of the Philippine Democracy. She was praised for her humility and for what she did to our country.

You wanted to attend the cortege or the burial but most of you couldn't do it for some reasons like age, illness, job and other reasons.

But whatever... those who are still contributing to the SSS, just don't forget to pay your contribution to avoid problems on the time you'll claim your SSS pension.

My Mother is a GSIS and SSS Pensioner

My mom is a publich school teacher. That's the reason why she became member of the GSIS or Government Service Insurance System. And after retiring last 1998, my mom got the lumpsum of her 5 years pension.

However, after 5 years, my mom did not receive only the GSIS pension but also the SSS pension.

I thought at first that it's not allowed to have a GSIS pension and SSS pension at the same time. But my mom's experience taught me a lot of lessons.

Then when my father died, she even received half of my father's pension. So, she's now receiving three sets of pension.

It's nice to think of this thing. Remember a retired person still receives money.

Well, my mother invested her money to this. So, there's no wonder that she's now earning what she invested.

Some Thoughts on Social Security Disability Benefits in US

Almost everyone in the United States knows that Social Security does not only involve bestowing monthly payments to retired people in the country.

Besides providing retirement income, the Social Security program is primarily geared to act as insurance for citizens of the country who are facing financial troubles. The following are several of the qualified situations, but are not limited, concerning the provision of Social Security benefits:

• insurance for working people who have reached retirement age
• insurance for surviving children or spouse of someone who had passed on
• insurance for people who have acquired disability
• benefits for veterans
• insurance for people who encountered unemployment
• welfare for impoverished people like food stamps and other basic needs

The Social Security maintains a trust fund and the money therein is invested, for the meantime, in bonds, the government utilizes to help in financing projects like public works all over the country.

The most familiar types of Social Security benefits are distributed by the following percentages:

• Beneficiaries for retirement program - 69%
• Beneficiaries for Social Security Disability program - 17%
• Beneficiaries for survivors - 14%

How to qualify for Disability benefits of the Social Security?

The Social Security Disability program provides benefits for people who became disabled that caused the limitation or prevention of his/her ability to perform what the Social Security terms as "substantial gainful activity." Simply put, the disability becomes the primary reason for the person's inability or limitation to work and earn income.

In order to qualify and receive the disability benefits, a person must prove that he or she is "fully insured." This generally means that he or she must have worked for long enough and has deposited enough money to the Social Security system.

Unlike the number of years worked in terms of the computation for retirement benefits, the social security disability benefits measures eligibility based on the age of the claimant.

Gainful activity must have been impeded by a mental or physical health problem for a continued period of 12 months in order to become covered or eligible for disability insurance. Those with substance abuse problems like alcohol and drug abuse will not be covered for such benefits.

All of those, whose claims for disability benefits are approved either by the Social Security Administration or by an Administrative Law Judge, will receive regular payments generally like the retirement benefits. The first benefit payment is set at the time the person's disability has gone on 5 months already. This is considered the "five-month waiting period".

A person may receive significantly lesser amount of benefits when he or she was still relatively young at the time the disability started.

Similar to the retirement benefits, other family members, beside the disabled claimant can also receive the disability benefits. The criteria are also similar to determining other family member beneficiaries for retirement insurance as provided below:

• Spouse who is already over 62 years old
• Spouse who is of any age and caring for children or a child under 16 years old
• Spouse who is of any age and caring for a child with disability before the 22 years old
• Divorced spouse over 62 years old. Your marriage with him or her should have lasted at least 10 years.
• Unmarried children under 18 years old or still studying in high school
• Children or child who acquired disability before they reached 22 years old

However, in disability benefits qualifications - divorced spouses cannot become eligible for disability benefits once their former spouse acquires a disability.

Disappointed

You know, I'm a little bit disappointed upon learning that this blog is nowhere found in the top 3 pages of the SERP when searching for the SSS Online Inquiry. Minsan aking naitanong sa aking sarili, alin ang mas maraming members ng SSS, ang mga fathers ba o ang mga mothers. Pero by considering the fact na sa ating mga Filipino, ang lalaki ang nananagot na magtrabaho o maghanap buhay para sa kanikanilang pamilya, I think, totoong ang mga fathers nga ang may pinakamaraming bilang sa mga meyebro ng SSS.

I already posted a post "sss.gov.ph" and it was ranking well also in the Google SERP. Wow! It's amazing. I just couldn't believe that a blog like this with no incoming links will compete with those blogs that have lots of incoming links from their other blogs.

Of course I have lots of blogs. Some of them are blogspot blogs and other are self hosted. But I did not link into this blog from the other blogs thinking that Google has the ability to notice a self made blog networks which serve as link farm.

What I did here is just writing anything, rants... journals... anything. Then after few months, this blog is already on the first page of the Google SERP in a particular keyword, then on the second page on the other searched keyword.

This is really great.

But I don't know if it will bring me money. For what I know is that this niche is not really profitable and there are only few who advertise on this niche.

Breaking In the Kawasaki Barako

I'm happy to tell you peeps especially those who are members of the SSS or Social Security System of the Philippines that I am currently breaking in the new Kawasaki Barako 175A that I bought for $80,900.00. This is part of my plan to invest part of my money in operating tricycle for hire here in our city.

Once the certificate of registration of the motorcycle will be released, I will be going to the welding shop that manufacture better sidecar here in our city. I just couldn't do it now because the motorcycle might be apprehended by the highway patrol men.

One More Step Higher

After posting the post, "Top 10 in Google SERP", I am happy to see as I check the Google Philippine SERP tonight because this blog is again pushed up the SERP by 1 position. It's a good thing to see. At least I know that the SEO I applied into this blog is working. And not only that, this blog pulled the article posted at Make Money Online blog.

But of course, I couldn't tell if this blog can stay there for a long time. Just like what you knew the position at the SERP of Google and any other search engine is based on the qualifications set by the search engines and therefore there's a great competition in winning the higher position. And there's no exemption to this, even the searches on "SSS Online Inquiry".

If the success continues on this blog, then I will use technique to my other blogs.

Yes! Just like what you read on the title, this blog is already listed on the Philippine Google SERP when searching the "SSS Online Inquiry". And not just listed on the SERP because it is really listed on the top 10 of the SERP.

See for your self. Try searching the Google using the keywords "SSS Online Inquiry" and notice that in the first page, this blog is already there.

It's of course a success. We are not recognized by Google in terms of the Google PR but at least in the SERP we are considered as more authority especially with regards to "SSS Online Inquiry" searches. It's of course thank to "Make Money Online" through its Update blog.

Converting to DTV

Alam niyo mga ka-SSS dyan, habang tayo dito sa Pilipinas ay nagdiriwang ng ika-111 taon ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas, sa United States naman ay naglilipat ng TV from analogue to digital.

Happy Independence Day

Para sa lahat ng members of the SSS or Social Security System in the Philippines, happy independence day po sa inyong lahat. Mukhang halos lahat ng dako sa Pilipinas ay mayroong sariling activities in commemorating the first time na iniwagayway ang bandela ng Pilipinas sa Kawit, Cavite.

However, there are some who questioned the validity of the independence day na ginugunita natin ngayon because for them the Philippine is not yet independent at that time dahil Spain sold the Philippines to the United States of America. So, ang totoong independence day daw ay nangyari lamang noong ipagkaloob ito sa Pilipinas ng bansang America.

Banned from SSS website

I wrote a letter today and I think, I will share this to you for you to learn things from accessing the SSS Online Inquiry.

Dear Sir,

I am a member of the SSS as an employee. I sent you this letter hoping that you'll publish it into your blog or blogs if you have lots of blogs so that other SSS members will learn lessons from my experiences.

For your information, I found the old Online Inquiry system of the SSS as the most user friendly interface and it's easy to inquire for important information regarding my SSS membership. However, I understand that SSS needs to make the website more secure and that only the owner of the account should have the access to the account to avoid any molestation and illegal use of account.

In other words, I agree to what the SSS did to their Online Inquiry system.

However, I found the new interface of the SSS Online Inquiry system as weird and couldn't understand what the algo of this.

Last month, I registered to the new Online Inquiry system of SSS. I successfully got my password. And I successfully accessed my account. But the problem is, on the next day, when I logged in again, the system told me that my account has been blocked and I am banned to access it again.

I was given the number to be called but no one answered the phone. Almost everyday, I called up the number but no one answered.

What should I do now?

I went to the SSS branch near me and talked to them about my problem. But they told me that it's not their job instead they gave me numbers to be called which is the same numbers as the website has given me.

I called the number again, but still no one is answering me.

Tricycle Operator

Nagbabalak akong bumili ng tricycle upang meron naman akong ibang pagkakakitaan. Pero naisip ko na hindi na pala nagbibigay ang LTFRB ng franchise sa mga operator kung hindi sila meyebro ng SSS as employers. Pero sakop kaya ng LTFRB ang mga tricycle operators?

Dami ko pa palang dapat malaman. Kailangan kong mapag-aralan ang mga bagay na ito upang ako'y laging handa sa anumang mga bagay na maaring dumating sa aking buhay bilang tricyle operator.

Drug Positive

Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho went to the PDEA for the drugtest. Katrina Halili was tested negative. Hayden Kho's test is still not released.

Pero, matanong ko nga kayo. Ilan kaya sa inyo ang hindi kailan man gumamit ng illegal na mga droga?

Well, I tried smoking mariana before. But that was just once. At hindi na iyon nasundan pa.

Sabi nila, once makatry ka gumamit ng mariana, ay babalikbalikan mo na. Pero kailan man ay hindi sumagi sa isip ko na magtry uli. Ewan ko. Pero parang hindi naman addicting yung mariana na yan. Mas makakaaddict pa yata ang Super Mario kaysa diyan.

68 Billion Pesos in 2008 Benefits

Romulo Neri of the Social Security System or SSS, revealed that the SSS released 68 Billion Pesos ni 2008 benefits which is 11 percent higher compared to the 2007 benefit.

But I am wondering... Magkano naman kaya ang perang naireleased by the SSS through Romulo Neri to the government as aid to the projects of President Gloria Arroyo? Minsan kasi nangako si Neri to the President that the SSS will contribute a certain amount for the projects of the President.

I'm sure you who are SSS members are now looking for the Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho Scandal. I know that because you are Pinoy and only those Pinoys who are members of the SSS.

I googled the internet about Katrina Halili Scandal and lots of blogs are now talking about it. Specially now that the scandal has reached already the Senate.

During the speech of Sen Bong Revilla, he said that Dr. Haiden Kho should be suspended from practicing medicine because he is mentally illed.

I wonder what are you thinking about this kind of scandal.

Forgot To Contribute

I was checking my SSS receipts today. Wala lang... Wala lang magawa.

And then I noticed that I forgot to pay my May 2009 SSS contribution. Hindi pa naman huli. It only happened that I pay the contribution in advance.

For example, for the month of April 2009, I paid it on the first week of April 2009. It's in advance because the deadline for paying the contribution is on the 10th day of the next month. So, in the case of April 2009 SSS contribution, the deadline would be on May 10, 2009.

In other words, I am still in the safe side.

For a long time since the midst of the 2008, the SSS website is down. SSS members who want to check their contribution or get the Static Information couldn't access the website. The main reason of the website's problem is server's problem

It seems that SSS information technology personnel are not yet ready in making the SSS website the main venue where members can do a lot of things instead of visiting their branches and transact business there.

By early March 2009, the site was live again. The website was fully changed. But then members couldn't check their account because there was something wrong in the registration process of the website.

I my self tried to register at the website for several times, but I was also sent email telling me that the registration process that I did failed.

I also tried to call their hotlines but they're all dead... if not, no one will answer the call.

Transport Operators Must be SSS member

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board or LTRB issued a directive that transport operators will not be issued the certificate of franchising if they do not register their business at the SSS.

"There is a certain provision in the SSS law that owners of business establishments, no matter how small the capitalization, have an obligation to register with the SSS," Suansing said.

SSS Loans

I became member of the Social Security System of the Philippines since 1998. And I continuously paid my contribution to the SSS. However, I am still hesitating to loan from the SSS just because I hate to pay loans.

Basically, there are 3 types of loans that members of the SSS can take.

1. Member Loans - Salary loan, calamity loan and emergency loan.
2. Housing Loans - This covers, repair, pari-passu, individual housing, corporate housing program, housing development, apartment for dormitory, housing for OFWS, housing for Workers Organization members, assumption of mortgage and direct housing development.
   
3. Business Loans - Covers tourism projects, industry loan program, hospital financing program, financing program for educational institution, SSS special financing program, financing program for vocational and technical school and the SULONG program.

My Wife has been Rejected

Last Month my wife and I went to the SSS office here in Maasin City to register my wife into the SSS so that she will also start contributing for the SSS. However, she was rejected for some reasons:

1. SSS for housewife is no longer available. So, housewife who has no job nor business couldn't become a member of the SSS anymore.
2. Self-employed people should bring with them the Business Permit when registering for the SSS membership. According to the SSS personnel, the contribution will be based on the income of the business she is running.

There is an option that we can do so that my wife can successfully register. This is by the help of our aunt. Our aunt will act as my wife's employer while my wife is the employee.

With this, once the SSS membership has been opened already, it's now easy to convert the account to self-employed.

But we haven't done it yet since my Aunt is still busy. Maybe next time.

Upgrade My SSS Contribution

I started contributing to the Social Security System as an employee of the Gaisano Main store in Cebu City. When my contract ended, I continued contributing as a self-employed member of the SSS.

Before, I was paying 225PhP every month. But I upgrade my contribution from time to time. Last year, I was paying 468PhP every month for my contribution. But after that, I again upgraded it to 520PhP per month.

I know that my money contributed to the SSS is safe so I am not worrying that it might be lost or someone would steal it. And I am very much positive that when I reach the age of 60, I will be receiving the pension based on my contribution.

My real aim is to receive 10,000PhP pension every month. And I will work hard for it.

Does Google Hate This Blog?

I was wondering what's the problem why Google did not index this blog for almost a month already. Have I done something wrong that made Google to reject it?

Last month, I posted 5 posts. But Google index only 2 of them. And those two posts that were indexed by Google were not index because Google wanted to index the blog but because other blog was linking to them. If not because of the said link from the other blog, Google will never visit here.

Do you have any suggestions what to do? Please help us here.

We, Filipinos, love Pacquiao so much and the way he fights in the ring. We might be embarrassed on his dream to become a congressman but if we're talking about boxing, our love goes to the Pacman.

I learned through the PIA news that the SSS Surigao del Norte will be sponsored a program "Student-Trainees for Summer Training Program on Social Security Services". The SSS Surigao-Branch allocates 6 slots to student who are members of the SSS or children of the SSS members. And those children of the laid-off SSS members will be prioritized.

Employee SSS Static Information, Lost!

Everyday, thousands of members of the SSS or Social Security System of the Philippines want to get a copy of their SSS Static Information. But the problem is, the SSS Online Inquiry website of the SSS is always down.

17. Tinigilan ko na ang pagbabayad ng SSS 10 years ago for the simple reason that I don’t really believe in this s***! If it isn’t a mandatory thing to be deducted by private companies in our paychecks… I really don’t mind paying. Nothing really works around here. 19. the new SSS site is not friendly buti pa yong una na enter mo lang your SSS#, name, and bdate, no problemat all. I registered with the new system but after a month I tried to access, it was blocked. I tried several times na mag-email sa kanila to forward me my password, pero 3 months na, they were silent seems they don’t want to extend help.

    Tulong lang po - mga taga SSS sa tulad ko na isang OFW kung saan nais namin malaman ang update ng binabayad namin.

New SSS Website, Bad!

Another set of comments of SSS members who wants to access their SSS account via the SSS Official Website.

Actually, I found no complaint from the SSS members regarding the way we can inquire online about our SSS account. That was just easy and I don't have problem accessing it.

But when the SSS tried to upgrade their website into Web 2.0 capabilities, everything has become hard. The homepage is not accessible, and especially the Online Inquiry System of it.

1. Bakit pa pinalitan yung dati kasi? Mas mahirap naman ginawa ngayon hindi lalo user friendly. Kaming mga working 5 days a week walang time magpunta sa SSS office at net lang ang pwede namin magamit para macheck contributions namin sa sss. Ngayon ichecheck ko ang number of contributions ko tapos hindi ko makita. Uubusin ng isang araw at magaabsent pa ako sa trabaho para lang makita contributions. Isara nalang ang website na yan kung ganun rin lang!

7. mag inquire lang ako ng existing SSS number status, gusto kc ng husband ko i update yong sss contribution niya as self employed. sa ganitong case dapat ito yong purpose ng internet inquiry pero 2 days na ako nag try to access inquiry wala page cannot be displayed error. kung hindi rin lang available yong site for inquiry dapat at least mag advise na hindi available para hindi naman masayang yong oras at perang ibiniabayad natin sa website.

22. I just want to follow up my application for manual verification of premium contribution from February 1967 to June 30, 1982. My SS # 07-0219438-2. I was employed by Sugar Producers Cooperative Marketing Assn. ID #07-0039000-7 since 1967 and as far as I could remember we have to remit through our Makati Office our contributions when SS had no local office here in Bacolod City. I have submitted a certification from my office here that I have contributed 186 premiums from February 1967 up to June 30,1982. I have submitted this to our Bacolod Office here last August 14, 2007 but until now I got negative response. Please help me out with this problem of mine. I am already 65 years but I have not received any benefits from you. I would like also to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Corazon S. DE LA PAZ fo promptly sending me my ID. 5. if you cant log in to the website upsets you how much more when you get your access seeing different employee information under your user id and your own sss#? i’ve been waitig for it to get fixed but this time its too much. everytime i log in, im seeing different member informations. i can see their, ss#, their address, where are they working, how much is their contribution, etc. thats really alarming now and i hope SSS management will take action on this ASAP.

   I tried registering for a lot of times and i always have an email saying…”not successfully registered…”(sigh!)so…since i need it, i tried again..kaboom! it says sss number already exists….ooowwaaa!

   do you mind telling me now how it happens? and the worst now i can’t totally do anything since “it is existing already” but i can’t access since i don’t have the password….

   is somebody outthere accessing my sss account now? that’s a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!

   SSS management have a heart. we are doing our part..we are paying…do your part and do your job well…you are being paid to do that by the people’s tax…

We can’t access them through the web, if you call by phone it is either busy or nobody picks up the calls; if you email them - they don’t bother to reply!! 22. Hi,
    I know someone who’s really willing to sign up for SSS. She’s a janitor in a specific school. And she wanted to file an SSS contribution however the school board wont cooperate at all. She went to SSS and asked if its possible for her to file even if her employer wont cooperate however the guy was not that helpful at all.. She’s very much willing to pay the contribution even without the help of her employer.

    Anyway, she have worked in Department Store for 1 year and believed that she have contributed at least for the SSS.
    Now, she has been working for 11 years as a Janitor in specific school in Cebu. She’s earning 3000/month. 1,500 for Schoolboard and 1,500 for the Municipality.

    Please advise. I really wanted to help her. However sad to say, I have no any connections in Government.

Hey.. malabo na ang SSS now. hi tech na tayo kaya mga tao hi tech na rin.. l have been trying a thousands times to check my contribution online pero walang nangyari..or baka naman may nangyayari na miracle jan sa SSS.. what do you think guys.. nakakabwesit na kasi!!!… dapat kasi ok na ok lagi yong access ng SSS kasi dapat everytime na mag check yong mga memeber makikita nila yong gusto nila makita regarding with the contribution..o baka talagang sinasadya yon..para di masyado makita in public ang mga H.A ng mga SSS officers jan.. lol please lang bago kumalat sa buong philippines ang prob na to ayosin nyo na yan…sorry if some words here,,, been so hot!!! as in spicy to the ear of someone who read this na tinatamaan…it said kasi marami paraan para ma check ang contribution online..hey!!! pinindot ko na lahat noh.. isa lang ang lalabas ..type etchitirah….. sa phone send to etchitira..wala paring nangyayari..ubos pa ang load ko…

Dati easy to accessa ng SSS online inquiry system. sss number + date of birth ok na agad…. ngaun di ko na mareach ang SSS… email/tawag/online inquiry system,,,, Wala lahat… saan ang tinatawag na SERVICE dyan…. di kaya habang nag reregister kami kinukuha nyu data namin at minimilagro nyu na? Di ko lang natry ung text inquiry kase na labas ako ng bansa…. nagana ba yun o wala rin?

    please lang po… pakibalik na lang ung dating website.. hindi na maabot ang pagka hi-tech nyu eh…

    asar lang po ako dahil sayang ang oras… bawat minuto ay may bayad sa fone!!!!
