SSS 1.07 Billion Collection from OFW

The Social Security System (SSS) collected P1.07 billion in contributions from overseas Filipino workers in the January to May period, a 13% jump from its P944.75 million collection during the same period last year.

In a statement, SSS president and chief executive officer Emilio de Quiros, Jr. said the growth in OFW contributions can be attributed to the agency's efforts to provide OFWs with easy access to their membership records and services, even while abroad.

"Recent SSS initiatives such as enhancing our range of website services, opening a 16-hour SSS call center, uploading instructional YouTube videos and starting an official SSS Facebook page to address member concerns were all created with OFWs in mind," he said.

SSS members can check their contributions, loans and benefits on the website (www.sss.gov.ph) or via the SSS call center (920-6446 to 55). They can also view SSS videos or contact SSS by looking up "Philippine Social Security System" at Facebook and YouTube.

Increase in Contribution and Pension

The SSS president and CEO Emilio de Quiros Jr released a statement saying that SSS proposed a 0.6 percent increase in the contribution rate to 11 percent. This might a bad news to SSS members who are paying contributions because their contribution fees will increase. However, there is also a good news to this. According to de Quiros, SSS proposed to increase the pension of the SSS members too.

Here's part of the news regarding this:
De Quiros said SSS has proposed a 0.6% increase in the contribution rate to 11%, and a P5,000 increase in the maximum monthly salary credit. He said if approved, the adjustments would allow the agency to implement a 10% across-the-board pension increase, give pensioners a P500 one-time grant, and hike other benefits.

P1.4 Million worth of SSS Checks Gone with Hijackers

Got a bad news today especially for SSS members coming from Marikina, Lawton, Cubao, Diliman, Cainta, San Mateo and Antipolo. The SSS checks that should be delivered to you had been stolen by armed men who hijacked the delivery van of the Philippine Postal Corporation in Cainta, Rizal postal office on December 13, 2010.

The bad news was revealed by the SSS President and CEO during the press statement this Sunday.

The good news is that the total number of checks gone with the hijackers is only 125 and the banks were already told to reject those compromised checks. And there's nothing to worry about for the affected members of the Social Security System because those affected can still receive their claims although it will be a little bit delayed.

Scared of lossing my blogs

Yesterday, a blog of mine was perceived by Google the owner of this free blogging services as spam. It was the third blog that I created that was flagged as spam. But second of these flagged blog was reactivated again since it was not really meant for any spammy job.

However, the third blog being flagged as spam has caused the temporary disabling of all my Google accounts.

That was my first ever scary experience. I don't want lose all my blogs. They're precious to me. But I am now hesitating to update them because Google might consider them spam and then disable my entire Google account again.

Oh no! I need to be careful in blogging. Google is seems becoming strict.

I am still brainstorming whether I will delete all the blogs that I am not sure if they're in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Maybe I will review the blogs on this account and delete those I think might risk my other blogs.

Please help me.

Spreading the News of the News Website

I am currently making a move to spread the news about the news website that I recently created. It was not officially launched but I already published few articles into it. I am also recruiting possible contributor who could write news story for the site.

However, my problem is that the search engine is not yet indexing the whole website. Anyway, there are two pages of the site that had been indexed already but it was because of my previous posts made on different blogs then linking back to those webpages.

What I want Google should do is to index all the pages it would found from the site so that I can go on with my marketing jobs.

PhilPost Can Now Compete with Private Remittance Agency

MANILA, Philippines—The money remittance system of the Philippine Postal Corp. may finally go electronic, enabling the state firm to offer the same convenience that private money forwarders do at just about a fourth of the fees charged.

This is made possible with a P1-billion loan that the Social Security System is extending PhilPost through a partnership related to the unified multi-purpose identification (UMID) system.

No Pacquiao vs Mayweather Bout

Manny Pacquiao Sued Mayweather and others

Uhum...

Happy Holidays

Sa lahat ng mga members of the SSS or Social Security System of the Philippines, Happy Happy Holidays po.

I don't know kung natanggap na ba ng mga SSS pensioner ang kanikanilang mga bunos. Sa pagkakaalam ko ang mga employees of the government are still waiting for the said bunos. Sabi kasi ng taga budget, hindi raw kasama sa budget ang pang-bunos ng mga mangagawa ng gobyerno.

At sa lahat ng mga nagpapasko dyan, regalo naman para saakin...

Registering as an Employee

I helped my brother in law asked me to help him in registering at the SSS Online Inquiry system. He's an employee of a construction firm but he's doubting that the firm did not remit his contribution to the Social Security System.

He tried to ask help from the SSS employee in an SSS branch for him to see how's his contribution. However, he was told that he should access the SSS Online Inquiry for him to get the Static Information.

Now, the problem is he don't know the Employer SSS number of his company. Someone told us that instead of entering the SSS number of his employer, what we need to enter is the 10 zeroes. We tried it, but up to this time, we haven't received any email from the SSS Online Inquiry regarding the status of the registration, the password and the username.

We tried it twice but still we haven't receive email from the SSS website.

SSS SBR Number

One of the very reason why voluntary or self-employed SSS members who are trying to register at the SSS Online Inquiry system failed is because they entered the wrong SBR number.

I tried registering at the SSS Online Inquiry system for 20 times already. But at least, the finally I successfully registered with the Online Inquiry system of the SSS.

So, how did I get the SBR number?

Okay... I have the receipt in paying my SSS contribution. It's actually my copy of the RS-5 form. In the upper part of the form (on your right) is the validation printed by the machine of the agency where I paid my contribution. I was paying my contribution at the RCPI Maasin. And the validation print says:
SSS>T#00012345 12345678 11/03/09 03:20
The SBR number that should be used in the SSS website is only 6 digit. But the SBR number printed on my receipt has 8 digits which is 00012345. So, what you need to is just use the 6 digit starting from the last digit of the SBR number. From that example, I only use as the SBR number the 012345.
