The Social Security System (SSS) has tied up with the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) to widen the coverage of a new identification system that will facilitate public transactions with government agencies. ...
The ID card will allow SSS members to get their pensions, loans and benefits through the Philpost's nationwide network of about 2,200 post offices, more than half of which also function as money transfer offices.

Dear Mr. ME:
This refers to your email regarding your ID status.
We apologize for the delay. SSS is installing a new ID system called Unified Multi- Purpose ID (UMID). As per computer records, your ID card is for card printing. Please bear with us if your ID taken last 11-13-2009 will take sometime since the generation of ID card will be on the first in, first out (FIFO) basis. Rest assured that same will be mailed to your address per E6 application once generated.
Likewise, even without your ID, you can still continue your transactions with SSS. Simply present your acknowledgment stub of your ID application together with two (2) valid ID cards.
Meanwhile, you may verify the status updates of your ID by registering and accessing our website “ www.sss.gov.ph” under “My SSS' menu.
For further queries you can call our Hotline 917-7777 or 920-6446 to 55.
Thank you for writing.
Very truly yours,
